Cantelupe Reservoir
HOME
We will be adding to this page gradually but for now here's some information on our new stillwater.
The Lake itself holds a good stock of Carp that seem to range in size between a pound and double figures. A few Perch have been caught as well as a handful of small Roach.
Depths seem to range between 2-6ft in the margins up to 20ft in the middle.
We are trying to keep the methods allowed as simple as possible; we do not want to create a commercial type fishery where every fish has a badly damaged mouth.
Here are a few photo's of our recent visit to the Reservoir at the Cantelupe Farm Estate.

Middle Left. Looking towards the West Bank (which is out of bounds) from the South Bank.

Complaint by a Member
During the past week several members of the committee have had to endure complaints from a member. The complaint is that we can not use keepnets at the new Reservoir.
This ruling is from the complex management, BUT IS FULLY ENDORSED BY THE USSC CLUB COMMITTEE. and is a rule we would have placed on the complex ourselves without any prompting.

IF YOU DONT LIKE THIS RULE DON'T JOIN. The rule will not be removed, it is there to stay. Live with it or go elsewhere (and thank God he did!).
